All Aboard The Testimony Train!

Train

Hi Friend!

You are probably here because either a) someone nominated you for the Testimony Train and linked to this page for explanation or b) you read/heard something about some kind of EMEYF Train and are curious to find out more. Take a seat, this is going to be a fun ride!

We came up with the Testimony Train at EMEYF Annual Meeting 2018, as a way of making it easier for Friends to contribute to Willy & Penn as well as supporting the editorial team in finding new content. The train will work as a kind of virtual baton pass, where each person who contributes finds a new person to continue the train about one of the five testimonies.

Here are some concrete rules to follow:

  • There are five trains, one for each testimony. If you choose to accept your nomination you will write something (a ‘wagon’) on the topic of the train you have been nominated for.
  • Each person is allowed to write only one wagon per train, but is very welcome to write for more than one train.
  • Your contribution has to be short! Try to boil down your thoughts on the topic to max. 250 words. If you discover while writing that you have much more to say than that, you are most welcome to write a larger article to be published separately!
  • Your wagon doesn’t have to be non-fiction prose. Anything that’s vaguely publishable goes: a haiku, a drawing, a photograph, an audio file, a video etc. Let your creativity flow!
  • After writing your contribution you find one other person who is willing to continue the train and follow up with them until they have written their contribution. As soon as they have accepted this nomination you name them at the end of your wagon & send it to the Willy & Penn editors for publication.

If you have any questions please ask the editorial team.

Happy writing!
